Study at West Chester University and perform professionally with Brandywine Ballet!
This unique partnership provides the opportunity to pursue a WCU undergraduate degree while receiving advanced dance training at Brandywine Ballet's state-of-the-art facilities. Brandywine Ballet presents three performance series every year on WCU's campus. The Company's extensive repertoire includes full-length productions of The Nutcracker and Dracula, as well as repertory pieces choreographed by resident choreographers Nancy Page and Tim Early. Brandywine Ballet has earned The George Balanchine Trust ® licensing to perform Balanchine pieces including Serenade, Concerto Barocco, Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, and Valse-Fantaisie.
To be admitted, students must apply and be accepted at West Chester University as well as audition for Brandywine Ballet. Audition information for the 2020-2021 season is available here. The cost of the program is $2000 for the performance season which runs September through May. Merit scholarships are available.
A minimum of 6 ballet technique classes per week are required. Two of which are the mandatory Company classes scheduled for Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
